Images from yesterday’s Invasion Day rally, Gadigal.
On a hot and humid day, around 20,000+ people marched from Hyde Park south to Yabun in Victoria Park.
Many speakers at this year’s rally focussed on Aboriginal deaths in custody, as well as 250 years of dispossession and genocide. There was also a focus on the effects of colonisation on the landscape and natural environment, particularly with this summer’s bushfire’s in mind.
